아마존이 Mobile Social Network 를 준비중

아마존이 Mobile Social Network 를 준비중에 있다고 한다. 아직 구체적으로 알려져 있지 않지만 Pelago 라는 모바일 서비스로 현재 스타트업을 준비중에 있는것으로 보고있다.

Jeffrey Holden 이라는 아마존에서 소비자 애플리케이션담당을 맡고 있는 부사장이 홈페이지에서 현재 "founder-funded "중에 있다고 밝혔다.

그러나 블로그의 다양한 분석기사를 살펴보면 등록한 "Pelago" 상표를 USPTO 검색해본결과
"Pelago" 에서 제공하는 서비스가 모바일 통하여 사용자의 위치를 파악하여 그룹 및 개인간의 관심사를 공유하는 Mobile Social Network관련한 서비스를 제공하는것으로 나타났다.

"Social networking applications on mobile and fixed computing devices enabling users to locate and interact with other users and groups sharing similar interests or locations;

providing mobile and fixed software applications to render voice, data, images, and messages regarding points of interest, entertainment and education venues and events, civic events and commercial establishments and individuals;

providing a website featuring information on points of interest, entertainment and education venues and events, civic events and commercial establishments and individuals"
